For wood gun stocks I prefer English or Black walnut. Black and English walnut are very strong and can take the recoil that the heavy big bores produce. Stocks can be customized and will be fitted for you. If you want a Monte Carlo cheek piece or special end caps or grip caps, I will make sure your custom ideas fit into the stock work. Many big bores require double cross bolts, and I install these into the stock. Many different blanks are available to me and I can get many different qualities of wood up to some beautiful pieces of Exhibition Grade Walnut. Many different checkering options are available also from standard panels to complete wrap around. The stocks that I create will not only fi t your needs, but will fit you.
